Agreement to Terms

Welcome to myprivatedentist.com (the “Site”). These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”) and myprivatedentist.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”), concerning your access to and use of the Site.

To become a listed dentist on the Site, you must register for an account. By registering, you represent and warrant that:

1. You are a qualified dental professional and are currently registered with the UK’s General Dental Council (GDC).
2. All registration information you submit will be true, accurate, current, and complete.
3. You will maintain the accuracy of such information and promptly update it as necessary.
4. You will keep your password confidential and will be responsible for all use of your account and password.
5. We reserve the right to remove, reclaim, or change a username you select if we determine, in our sole discretion, that such username is inappropriate, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

Acceptable Use Policy

You may not access or use the Site for any purpose other than that for which we make the Site available. The Site may not be used in connection with any commercial endeavours except those that are specifically endorsed or approved by us. As a user of the Site, you agree not to:

• Systematically retrieve data or other content from the Site to create or compile, directly or indirectly, a collection, compilation, database, or directory without written permission from us.
• Use the Site to advertise or offer to sell goods and services not pre-approved by us.
• Engage in unauthorized framing of or linking to the Site.

• Profile Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content and accuracy of your profile. This includes your GDC number, qualifications, practice information, biography, and any images you upload.
• Subscriptions: We offer basic and premium subscription plans. Features and fees are described on our pricing page.
• No Guarantee of Results: We provide a platform for you to present your services. We do not guarantee that your listing will result in new patients, increased business, or any specific outcome.

Specific Terms for Patients and General Visitors

• Directory Purpose: The Site is an informational resource to help you find and learn about private dentists in the UK.
• No Endorsement: The inclusion of a dentist on our Site does not represent an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of their services or quality of care.
• Your Responsibility: You are responsible for conducting your own research and due diligence before selecting and engaging any dental professional listed on the Site. Your relationship is directly with the dentist, and we are not a party to that relationship.

Intellectual Property Rights

Unless otherwise indicated, the Site is our proprietary property. All source code, databases, functionality, software, website designs, text, photographs, and graphics on the Site (collectively, the “Content”) and the trademarks and logos contained therein are owned or controlled by us or licensed to us.

When a dentist uploads content to their profile (such as text or images), they retain ownership of that content but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Site.

Payments, Renewals, and Refunds

• Payments: We use Stripe for all payment processing. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made via the Site.
• Automatic Renewal: Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel it.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting us at admin@myprivatedentist.com. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of the current paid term.
• Refunds: Payments for subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by law or at our sole discretion.

Termination

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Site for any reason, including for violation of these Terms and Conditions. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your profile will be removed from the public view of the Site.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Site is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, in connection with the Site and your use thereof. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our maximum liability to you for any cause whatsoever, and regardless of the form of the action, will at all times be limited to the amount paid, if any, by you to us during the three (3) month period prior to any cause of action arising.
