IMPORTANT NOTE: Adult form of bonjela is not suitable for children and adolescents under 16 years of age. This is because there is a possible association between salicylates and Reye’s syndrome when given to children. Bonjela’s active ingredient – choline salicylate, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) – can lead to toxicity when the product is used too often. The rise of toxicity is greatest in children.
