Dr Matthew Collins

Matthew achieved membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (FDGP) in 2001 through the Royal College of surgeons in London. He has been awarded a Masters in Clinical Dentistry from the University of London in 2008. Matthew is a member of the Association of Dental Implantologists and a fellow of the College of General Dentistry . He is currently chair of Calderdale and Kirklees Local Dental Committee and also vice chair of Yorkshire and Humber LDC. Matthew is committed to further education, completing over 70 hours of CPD (continuing Professional Development) a year. He has received extensive further training of composite techniques, aesthetic dentistry and implantology, both in the UK and internationally. Matthew was awarded a Fellowship by the Faculty of General Dental practitioners in 2010 – their highest accolade. With the transition of the Faculty of General dental practitioners into a brand new College of General Dentistry in 2021 Matthew has been appointed to the new national board of the college to help shape the future of the profession. Matthew has also achieved Fellowship of the new college. Matthew’s clinical area of interest is in dental rehabilitations and implants for patients with worn and missing teeth. Matthew has been placing implants since 2007 and was awarded a Diploma in Dental Implantology from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2017, this is a testament to all his hard work and skill in this field.
